Former Texas A&M right-handed pitcher Brad Rudis continues to rack up accolades after earning the top honor for a pitcher on his team. On Thursday, the Williamsport Crosscutters of the MLB Draft League named Rudis as their Rankin Johnson Pitcher of the Year Award winner.
After not being selected in the 2025 MLB Draft, Rudis eventually landed with the Crosscutters, primarily as a reliever, but also logged a few starts under his belt. Throughout the season, he achieved several milestones, including being named MLB Draft League Pitcher of the Week and becoming the single-season record holder in strikeouts with 69.

He finished the season as the team leader in ERA (3.05), innings pitched (56.0), and WHIP (1.16). Rudis also finished in the top five in several league categories and top ten in a few others. Overall, he had a strong start and has shown tools that could translate well in a pro ball club’s farm system.
