It wasn’t a vintage Bibee outing by any means, but it was nice to see him pitch into the 7th inning and give the Guardians a chance to win. His final line was 6.2 IP, 5 hits with 3 runs and 3 strikeouts to just one walk. Sabrowski, Gaddis, and Smith combined for 2.1 scoreless innings of relief.
It wasn’t a huge day for the offense, but they did just enough to win. Steven Kwan went 2-4 with an RBI, Daniel Schneemann went 2-3 with a 2 RBI double and a walk. I’d say he made up for the golden sombrero yesterday.
I still don’t believe in this team but they are 2.5 back of the wildcard and as long as they keep letting the young kids play, I will be happy no matter what. The Guardians will look to win the series tomorrow at 12:10 pm ET. It will be Parker Messick vs Drew Rasmussen.
