NEW YORK – Aaron Judge is back in right field and Max Fried will attempt to get the Yankees an important series win Sunday, in the finale of a three-game set against the AL East-leading Toronto Blue Jays.
Toronto is sending future Hall of Famer Max Scherzer to the mound at Yankee Stadium for the scheduled 1:35 p.m. game.
Over his last three starts, Fried has been on point; the veteran lefty has posted a 0.90 ERA against the Red Sox, Nationals and Astros (20 IP, 2 ER).
Toronto has won each of Scherzer’s last four starts, with the veteran right-hander posting a 3.91 ERA (23 IP, 10 ER) over that period.
