While most will be watching the Commanders today, the Nationals have their rubber match with the Cubs. After a hard fought 2-1 win yesterday, the Nats evened the series against the North Siders. Now they have a chance to really put a dent in the Cubs hopes for an NL Central title.

The Nats are making a couple changes in the lineup. Riley Adams will be back behind the plate and he will hit third. Josh Bell will get the day off and Andres Chaparro will replace him at first base. Luis Garcia Jr. will be back in the fold at second base. Robert Hassell III will be in as the center fielder. After a strong debut, Andrew Alvarez will look to prove that he is not a one hit wonder on the mound.

The Cubs will be without their star center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong. PCA is out of the lineup after fouling a ball off his knee yesterday. Rookie Kevin Alcantara is playing in his place. Grizzled veteran Justin Turner will be the DH, which pushes Seiya Suzuki to right field. Fellow old man Carlos Santana will be at first base. Drew Pomeranz will be an opener for the Cubs today.
