As the Philadelphia Phillies enter a key four-game series with the New York Mets, they will do so short-handed with Alec Bohm and Trea Turner heading to the injured list.

Turner injured his hamstring in Sunday’s loss to the Marlins, and Bohm has a sore shoulder.

Mets Rookie Nolan McLean on the Mound

In their place, Edumundo Sosa will take over at shortstop and is hitting eighth, while Otto Kemp is at third base and is hitting ninth on Monday night against Mets rookie starter Nolan McLean.

McLean has faced the Phillies before, tossing eight shutout innings with six strikeouts, allowing four hits in an i6-0 win over the Phillies on August 27.

Harper Moves to Leadoff Role

With Turner out, the Phillies are moving Bryce Harper to the leadoff spot in the order, making it the first time he has hit in the top spot in the order since Oct. 4, 2022, and just the second time in the last six seasons, per Paul Casella from MLB.com
