LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — The Lynchburg Hillcats are heading into the playoffs with momentum, as the team has been playing its best baseball in the second half of the season.
After a strong start, the Hillcats experienced a slowdown when some players moved up, but the addition of new talent from the MLB draft has revitalized the roster.
Kyle Vincent, the director of ticket sales for the Hillcats, said, “They are playing their best baseball in the second half of the season. Kind of all those guys that were drafted in the MLB draft are starting to get their groove down at the Single A level and are really coming into their own after playing either their college or high school seasons.”
