The Tigers’ Spencer Torkelson was denied his 29th home run on Sunday with a spectacular catch by Chicago White Sox left fielder Will Robertson.
With no outs in the bottom of the sixth, and Detroit leading 4-3, Torkelson took a 3-1 pitch by Davis Martin deep to left field, near the 342-foot marker at Comerica Park.
Robertson timed his leap perfectly, going up high over the fence to snag Torkelson’s would-be homer.
