Texas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy continues to climb the ladder of all-time greats.
With Thursday night’s win over the Houston Astros, Bochy passed the legendary Sparky Anderson on the list of all-time winningest MLB managers.
Bochy now sits at No. 6 for wins in the majors at 2,195 wins.

That puts him 132 wins behind No. 5 on the list, that being Joe Torre at 2,326. That would presumably put Bochy in a position to pass the former New York Yankees manager during the 2026 season, should he still be on the Rangers bench. Bochy is currently in the final season of his contract.
In his third season with Texas, Bochy has logged 192 wins. Along with, obviously, the franchise’s first-ever World Series championship.
