BATON ROUGE — LSU baseball released its 2026 season schedule Tuesday afternoon.
The Tigers, who are the reigning NCAA College World Series champions, open up the season Feb. 13 with a three-game series against Milwaukee while Southeastern Conference play gets started March 13 with a series on the road at Vanderbilt.
Head coach Jay Johnson welcomes back a few starters and key contributors from last season’s national championship winning squad, headlined by the entire starting outfield of Derek Curiel, Chris Stanfield and Jake Brown, as well as shortstop Steven Milam.

LSU signed one of the top transfer portal classes again, addressing a number of needs like left-handed pitching, as well as at the infield corners, with Brayden Simpson from High Point, Trent Caraway from Oregon State and Zach Yorke from Grand Canyon.
Highlights from LSU’s 56-game schedule is its participation in the Live Like Lou Jax College Baseball Classic in Jacksonville, Florida where it’ll face Notre Dame, Indiana and Central Florida from Feb. 20-22. There are two nonconference games at Alex Box Stadium against Northeastern, a mid-major that’s built a solid reputation in college baseball and LSU will play at Louisiana on March 4, while it will host Tulane for a midweek game later in the season, May 5.
In conference play, Vandy, Ole Miss, Georgia and Florida rotate onto LSU’s schedule for series that will be expected to be ranked matchups.
