The U11B West Island Rays claimed the Lac St. Louis Region Baseball title for the 11U B category with a 6-1 victory over the Valleyfield Red Gris 6 -1. That win saw the Rays punch their ticket to the Baseball Quebec Super Regionals in Val-Bélair.

Olivia Angel pitched the first inning and picked up the win. The Rays jumped out to a three-run lead in their first at bats. The inning was capped off with Benny Byers driving in Philippe Grenier. Philip Janelle, Jake Payette, August Antunes, Olivia Angel all scored in the game. The Rays were swinging hot bats with several West Island batters enjoying multi-hit games, including Lucas Lalla and Philippe Grenier. It was pitching by committee to shut down the Valleyfield bats. Jake Payette pitched the second inning with Philip Janelle following with a trio of standout innings. August Antunes came as the closer in the sixth inning. Backing up the pitching staff was solid play in the field, including several big defensive plays. Avery Patino, Mason Jin, and Benny Byers made timely catches in the field and Thomas Williams played a great game in the outfield. Olivia Angel was the player of the game.

At the Super Regionals West Island post a 2-1 record in a very competitive field of participants. The Rays opened their tournament with a 6-2 loss to the Rouges Condors. West Island bounced back edging the Pirates for a 5-4 victory. It was a walk off win as Jake Payette drove in Mason Jin and Thomas Williams for the margin of victory. The Rays closed out the tournament with a 3-1 loss to the Titans Bleus. n
