CRISP COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – Two people were arrested following a baseball field fight.
On Sept. 6, Crisp County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies responded to a call regarding a fight at Crisp County Youth Ball Complex.
A referee made a call that the coach did not agree with, prompting physical contact between the two. A person from the stands also got involved in the altercation, according to the sheriff’s office.
“These are kids that are playing, we’re here to teach them a lesson. Some calls will go towards you, some calls with go against you.”
Police charged Joshua Drew, 42, and John Taylor, 37.
Drew was charged with simple assault, and Taylor was charged with battery and simple assault.
This case remains under investigation.
