The Los Angeles Dodgers increased their lead over the second-place San Diego Padres with a 7-2 win against the Colorado Rockies at Los Angeles Tuesday night.
While the Dodgers were beating the Rockies, the Padres were losing 4-2 to the Cincinnati Reds at San Diego. The Dodgers led the Padres by two games in the National League West Division at press time Wednesday.
Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman both homered, and Teoscar Hernandez homered twice in the Dodgers’ win. Hernandez hit two solo home runs, Freeman hit a solo shot and Betts hit a two-run blast.
At press time, the Reds-Padres and Rockies-Dodgers series were to resume Wednesday.Â
