The Arizona Fall League unveiled the 2025 rosters and there will be eight Pittsburgh Pirates prospects on the Salt River Rafters.

Right-handed pitchers Derek Diamond, Joshua Loeschorn and Carlson Reed, left-handers Dominic Perachi and Jaden Woods, first baseman Tony Blanco Jr., first baseman/outfielder Esmerlyn Valdez and outfielder Will Taylor will all be heading out west.

Two of the organization’s top 30 prospects are included in Valdez (No. 15 on MLB Pipeline) and Blanco (No. 30).

Valdez has split the 2025 season between High-A Greensboro and Double-A Altoona and has combined to hit .289/.376/.529 with 25 doubles, two triples, 26 home runs and 85 RBI in 119 games. The 21-year-old helped lead the Curve to their first postseason appearance since 2018.

Blanco totaled 28 games with Low-A Bradenton after he was promoted from the FCL and slashed .264/.368/.491. The 6-foot-7 slugger belted seven home runs with the Marauders and drove in 21 runs.
