Texas A&M adds another 2027 commit who can help the bullpen in the future. On Monday, left-handed pitcher Tyler Ransom, out of Idaho Falls, ID, announced via social media that he will start his college career in Bryan-College Station.

The Aggie commit has already been clocked in the low 90s for his fastball and consistently throws between 85–88 mph in-game. That, paired with a dangerous breaking ball, puts batters in a tough position when trying to work their approach against Ransom.

He participated in Prep Baseball Idaho’s State Games and was named the Most Valuable Pitcher after striking out all five batters he faced, dominating the zone with his fastball. Ransom also showed that he is an all-around athlete on the field by logging a 60-yard dash of 6.72 seconds for the fastest time and placing seventh in max exit velocity with 98.6 mph. The 6-foot, 160-pounder also has the frame to grow and add a few more tools to his arsenal as he continues to develop.

He is already among the top in his state, and a strong junior season could push him to become one of the top players in the nation. The Texas A&M coaching staff, led by Michael Earley, is prioritizing depth in pitching by recruiting and developing younger players. Ransom’s commitment is vital to strengthening future pitching rosters, and securing talented pitchers will ensure depth and success for Texas A&M’s baseball program.
