Arizona 3, San Francisco 5
It is somewhat of a shame that Zac Gallen started this game. He wasn’t great yesterday, but he wasn’t nearly as bad as the box score would have one believe. But, the Snakes still lost and that is going to bring back the vitriol that has only recently started to calm down. The result is that, the Giants, along with some generous help from the boys in blue, sent Arizona to their third straight loss and continued to hammer home how far out of the playoffs the team really is this year. (The umpire scorecard for last night’s games are not yet available.)

Andrew Saalfrank Has Re-established Himself
There is, of course, the caveat that the overwhelming majority of relievers are volatile. Still, it is nice having another “reliable” arm in the bullpen. The team could use four or five more.

Ryne Nelson Suffering from Tough Luck
The Snakes dynamic right-hander has established himself as a rotation mainstay. However, he also lead s the league in an unfortunate stat – wins lost, with seven of them.
