Landon Knack gave up two runs (one earned) in six innings, and the offense put up an abundance of runs as the Oklahoma City Comets defeated the Sacramento River Cats (Giants) 8-2. Kyle Hurt closed out the game with two scoreless innings, and in his first six and two-thirds innings since returning to action after arm surgery, he has given up just one run. Ryan Ward hit his 33rd home run. and drove in three runs, giving him 118 RBIs. Noah Miller had two hits, a home run, and four RBIs.
Double-A Tulsa
Wyatt Crowell and Chris Campos teamed up to hold the Arkansas Travelers (Mariners) to one run, and the Tulsa Drillers scored five runs in the first and then coasted to a 7-1 victory. Crowell pitched the first five innings, and Campos finished it off with a four-inning save. Zach Ehrhard and James Tibbs lll had two hits each, with Tibbs, closing the season strongly, hitting a double and triple. Zyhir Hope, playing right field, went 0 for 3 with a walk and an RBI.
