LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation (NBCF) brought a unique twist to America’s favorite pastime with its annual Beep Baseball game, designed specifically for children with visual impairments.

This adaptive version of baseball aimed to level the playing field and offers sighted players the chance to experience the game without sight.

In this innovative game, the traditional diamond is replaced with four-foot padded bases that buzz when activated.

Players hit a beeping ball off a t-stand and rely on their hearing to locate the buzzing base before outfielders can scoop up the ball and hold it in the air for an out.

Sighted participants wore blindfolds to ensure everyone played by the same rules.

The event promises to be fast-paced and exciting, capturing the energy, teamwork, and determination of every player on the field.

The Las Vegas Aviators baseball team sponsored the event.
