The Arizona Diamondbacks‘ 2025 regular season is winding down, but before the month ends, there are nine home games at Chase Field.
The first one of those is Monday, Sept. 15, against the San Francisco Giants, the team the Diamondbacks just played Sept. 8-10 in San Francisco. The Diamondbacks play the Giants Sept. 15-17, get a day off, and then host the Philadelphia Phillies Sept. 19-21.
As for any playoff hopes, time and opportunities to gain ground are running out. As of Sunday, Sept. 14, the Diamondbacks — who conclude their road trip in Minneapolis in the series finale against the Minnesota Twins — have 14 games remaining in the regular season.
The Giants were in a better position to contend as their series ended with the Diamondbacks last week. Arizona is shorthanded at first base, with Tyler Locklear and Pavin Smith expected to miss the rest of the season due to injury, and utility man Ildemaro Vargas looks like he’ll finish up the year at that position.
The schedule is tough the rest of the way.
After the Giants leave Phoenix, the Phillies will come to Chase Field close to clinching the NL East.
Philadelphia won’t likely have shortstop Trea Turner, who is on the injured list, but the Phillies carry the hope that he will be back for the postseason. Third baseman Alec Bohm could come off the IL just before the Diamondbacks series.
But slugger Kyle Schwarber has reached 50 home runs, and hopes to add to his total of four career homers hit at Chase Field.
The final postgame fireworks show of the season will follow the Friday, Sept. 19, game against the Phillies.
