As Kentucky’s high school baseball postseason gets going this weekend, the state’s top three teams all hail from Louisville’s Seventh Region.

No. 1 St. Xavier, No. 2 Trinity and No. 3 Ballard lead the way in this week’s Kentucky Prep Baseball Report Power 25, and all three are seeded No. 1 in their respective district tournaments.

St. X received a semifinal bye and will host the DuBois-Male winner at 6 p.m. Monday in the 26th District final.

Trinity will face the Seneca-Waggener winner at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in a 27th District semifinal at Seneca.

Ballard will battle Kentucky Country Day at 5:30 p.m. Monday in a 28th District semifinal at Eastern.

The Sixth Region voted last fall to go to a super-regional format, eliminating district tournaments. The draw for the super regional is set for Friday, May 16. No. 6 Pleasure Ridge Park, the defending state champion, and No. 25 Bullitt East lead the Sixth Region field.
