Winkler was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday, per MLB’s transactions log.
Winkler appeared in three games since his promotion Sept. 5, going 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles. He’ll head back to the minors to make room for the return of Connor Norby (quadriceps), Graham Pauley (oblique), Dane Myers (oblique) and Tyler Phillips (paternity list).
