Francis and Carol were married on Sept 17, 1960, in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, by the late Rev. Francis E. Marlin, uncle of the groom.The best man was Mike Marlin, brother of the groom, and the matron of honor was Julie Samuels, friend of the bride.
Mr. Marlin is a retired police chief for the City of Keokuk, and Mrs. Marlin is a retired secretary/bookkeeper for the housing authority, Mississippi Terrace.
They have four children, Steve (Kathy) Marlin, Debbie (Darin) Hawkins, Barb (Marvin) Linder, and Mark (Lisa) Marlin.
Grandchildren are Golda (Bryan) Monohon, Kyle Marlin, Justin (Sarah) Hawkins, Nicki (Jon) Minnis, Cassie (Jay) Burton, Chris (Anna) Marlin, Chris (Ashleigh) Marlin, Michael (Maile) Marlin.
Great grandchildren are Landon and Calvin Monohon, Jaxson, Lincoln, and Adalyn Hawkins, Riggs and Ruxton Minnis, Lexi and Kai Marlin, Jadyn and Jacoiyay Burton, and Mason, Jaxon, and Cohen Marlin.
A Great- great granddaughter Avalee Long.
They plan to celebrate with family and friends at Hotel Nauvoo.
