On the season, Sosa is hitting .270 with seven home runs and 33 RBI in 85 games, and had taken over the shortstop role with Turner out. Second baseman Bryson Stoft has moved over to shortstop, with Weston Wilson and Donovan Walton playing second base.
Rafael Lantigua Joins Roster From Lehigh Valley
To replace Sosa on the roster, the team has promoted infielder Rafael Lantigua from Triple-A Lehigh Valley. To make room for Lantigua on the 40-man roster, outfielder Brewer Hicklen was designated for assignment.

Lantigua, 27, is batting .232 (92-396) with 15 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, 56 RBI, 77 walks, 82 runs scored, and 17 stolen bases in 124 games for the IronPigs this season. He gives the team a player who can play all over the diamond, making 34 starts at third base, six starts at shortstop, and four in left field.
