After going 0/2 in a soggy double header yesterday, the Nationals are looking to avoid being swept in a four game set by the Braves. September got off to a flying start for the Nats, but this series has been a reality check. James Wood and CJ Abrams have really struggled.
Speaking of those two, their placement in the lineup will be flipped. Wood will lead off and Abrams will hit second. Otherwise it is a pretty standard Nats lineup. Robert Hassell is in center over Jacob Young and Riley Adams will do the catching. Brad Lord will be on the mound as the boys look to stop the bleeding.
The Braves may have a poor record, but their lineup is formidable. Matt Olson and Ronald Acuna Jr. have been red hot. Drake Baldwin is a Rookie of the Year Candidate behind the plate. It is strong from top to bottom, with slugger Marcel Ozuna hitting 8th. Hurston Waldrep has shown his first round talent on the mound lately for the Braves and he will be on the mound today.
