HILLSBORO, Ore. (KATU) — Hillsboro Hops ace Daniel Eagan was named Northwest League Pitcher of the Year after leading the league with a 2.49 ERA.

Eagan finished the season with a 7-5 record and ranked among the top-five across most pitching categories, including strikeouts (132), home runs allowed (7), hits allowed, and opponents’ batting average (.184).

Eagan was a third-round pick by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2024 draft. He was a late-season call-up to AA Amarillo and struck out 21 batters through four appearances.

“I want to give out a huge shoutout to my teammates and coaches for their support throughout the year. None of this would have been possible without them,” Eagan said.
