HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal’s bats came alive in the first inning for a seven-run frame to help set the tone right away in Wednesday’s softball game against Clark County
The Lady Pirates carried that momentum to come away with a 13-6 win over the Lady Indians in the third straight game this week, rebounding from losses to Monroe City on Tuesday and Bowling Green on Monday.
Hannibal tacked on four more runs in the third inning and added four more in the sixth.
Noveli Collier led the charge with a four-hit day out of the leadoff spot, sparking the first inning rally with a single.
Hannibal second baseman Lexi Anders had two hits and three RBIs
Kynlee Ross earned the win in the circle after pitching five innings with six strikeouts and four earned runs.
At the plate, Ross had two hits and three RBIs.
Clark County pitcher Emma Pitford was tagged with the loss.
Up next for Hannibal (3-10) is a home doubleheader against North Central Missouri Conference opponent Marshall (3-7) on Saturday, with the first game starting at 11 a.m.
