Former first-round pick Daniel Espino is scheduled to pitch his first official game since 2022 when he starts for Triple-A Columbus on Saturday.
MINNEAPOLIS — Right-hander Daniel Espino, the Guardians’ hard-throwing, but much-injured first-round pick in 2019 (24th overall), will take to the mound Saturday in his first official game in over three years.
Espino, 24, will start for Triple-A Columbus on Saturday against Omaha.
