PHILADELPHIA – The Phillies activated third baseman Alec Bohm from the injured list, infielder Rafael Lantigua was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move.
The 29-year-old Bohm was batting .272 this season prior to being placed on the IL with left shoulder inflammation on Sept. 8. Lantigua, 27, is still waiting to make his MLB debut. In 124 games for the IronPigs this season, the Dominican Republic native is batting .232 with 15 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, 56 RBI and 82 runs scored.
Philadelphia begins a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday night at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.
