MINNEAPOLIS — This is the time for unexpected heroes. That is the only explanation for a team that finds itself 2 1/2 games out of first place in the AL Central after being 15 1/2 games out on July 9.

Bo Naylor, one of those heroes, drove in four of the Guardians’ six runs Friday night in a 6-2 win over the Twins at Target Field. Until the Guardians scored two runs in the ninth, Naylor drove in every Cleveland run with a pair of two-run singles.
