Cal Poly, winners of the 2025 Big West Baseball Championship, and regular-season champion UC Irvine are set to trek on their roads to Omaha by receiving bids into the 2025 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, as announced on Memorial Day morning Monday live on ESPN2. It is the second year in a row that The Big West has had multiple teams into the national tournament.  

Cal Poly (41-17) earned The Big West’s automatic bid into the national tournament by winning the 2025 Big West Baseball Championship. It is fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament (2009, 2013, 2014, 2025) in Mustang program history. Cal Poly will open the road to Omaha against Arizona (39-18) in Eugene, Ore. The Wildcats earned their conference’s automatic bid by winning the Big 12 Tournament.

The Eugene regional also features host Oregon (42-14) and Utah Valley (32-27). The Ducks are an at-large qualifier as the Big Ten regular-season co-champions with a 22-8 league mark. The Wolverines won the WAC Tournament to earn an automatic spot in the championship.

UC Irvine (41-15) received an at-large bid to make a second consecutive appearance in the national postseason, after winning The Big West regular-season title with a 24-6 conference record and runner-up in the 2025 Big West Baseball Championship. UCI is making its 11th showing in the NCAA Tournament (2004, 2006-11, 2014, 2021, 2024, 2025). The Anteaters aren’t traveling far, as they are headed to UCLA and will start the regional by playing Arizona State (35-22). The Sun Devils are an at-large qualifier with a national RPI of 49.

UCLA (42-16), the host of the regional, won a share of the Big Ten regular-season crown with a 22-8 league record to earn an at-large bid. Fresno State (31-27) won the Mountain West Tournament for its right to be in Westwood.
