The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants, 6-3, in what was Clayton Kershaw’s final regular season start at Dodger Stadium. LA improved to 87-67 on the year and officially clinched a playoff berth.
In other news, the Dodgers placed right-hander Michael Kopech on the injured list ahead of the eventual victory. Kopech’s regular season is officially over with the IL move, but manager Dave Roberts didn’t exactly rule out the postseason for the reliever.
Finally, a San Diego Padres All-Star has been linked to the Dodgers in free agency. The pitching roster has dealt with various injuries and inconsistencies all year, but the question remains if LA would want to pursue another high-priced reliever after last offseason’s mistakes.
