The San Francisco Giants are still attempting their quest to Beat LA. They failed on Thursday and again on Friday. Perhaps Saturday will finally bring about better results.
Taking the mound for the Giants is rookie right-hander Kai-Wei Teng, who has had something of a funny season. In seven games and six starts, Teng is 2-4 with a 6.41 ERA but a 3.30 FIP, with 33 strikeouts against 15 walks in 26.2 innings. He was fantastic his last time out, giving up just three baserunners and an unearned run against the Arizona Diamondbacks, though he was pulled after just four innings.
For the Los Angeles Dodgers, it’s right-hander Tyler Glasnow, who makes his 17th start of the year. Glasnow is 3-3 with a 3.06 ERA, a 3.89 FIP, and 96 strikeouts against 38 walks in 82.1 innings. He gave up just one run in 6.2 innings in his last start which … yes … came against the Giants.
Enjoy the game everyone. Go Giants! BEAT LA!
