The Milwaukee Brewers are getting used to this division-clinching celebration thing. All that was missing Sept. 21 was their home fans.

For the third straight season, Brewers players doused each other with alcoholic and other carbonated beverages after the team clinched the National League Central division in St. Louis.

Perhaps this beer and champagne shower felt a little more refreshing as Pat Murphy’s bunch wasn’t expected to win 84 games, let alone close to 100. Doubted again by the national media they have somehow figured out a way to finish ahead the rival Chicago Cubs and former manager Craig Counsell, convincingly. The club is two victories away from setting the franchise record for wins with six games to play in the season

It’s time for all Brewers fans to raise a glass to the 2025 division champs. The party could last a while, because Milwaukee has also clinched a bye in the opening round of the playoffs
