A sweep of Detroit heading into the weekend series in Minnesota not only helped Cleveland climb up in the wild card standings but moved them within striking distance of the Detroit Tigers.

The Guardians and Twins wrapped up their four-game series Sunday. Cleveland began this final road trip of the regular season with a three-game sweep of Detroit, as the Guardians were 7-5 winners in 10 innings Sept. 16 and 4-0 winners Sept. 17 and 3-1 winners Sept. 18.
