LOS ANGELES (KLTV) – Former Mount Pleasant Tiger Michael Kopech is headed back to the 15-day injured list with right knee inflammation, the Los Angeles Dodgers reported Friday.
The right-hander returned from the 60-day IL on Sep. 1.
Since returning from the IL, Kopech made six appearances, pitching four innings, allowing three runs on three hits, while striking out four and walking nine.
Kopech has had two stints on the 60-day IL this season. In Spring Training, he was sidelined with right shoulder impingement and returned in June, before being sidelined less than a month later with right knee inflammation.
The Dodgers (88-68) currently lead the NL West Division and have clinched a playoff berth.
