The Toronto Blue Jays are back in the postseason.

After missing the playoffs in 2024, the Blue Jays punched their ticket to the dance Sunday in Kansas City. They’re the fifth team in Major League Baseball and the first in the American League to clinch a playoff berth this season.

The Blue Jays announced Monday morning that playoff tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m. EDT.

Tickets sold are for the best-of-three American League Wild Card Series, beginning Sept. 30, and the best-of-five American League Divisional Series, which would start Oct. 4. Tickets for potential future rounds will be available at a later date.

If the Blue Jays win their division, they would receive a bye to the ALDS, skipping the AL Wild Card Series entirely.

Playoff home dates will be announced at a later date, and fans will be refunded for any games that don’t get played.

Fans who have full- or quarter-season tickets will be guaranteed playoff tickets. The Blue Jays are also offering guaranteed access to playoff tickets for fans who sign up to become new season ticket members.

General admission tickets can be secured through “District Drops,” a new SMS program. If you text BLUEJAYS to 25835, you’ll receive texts on when general admission tickets go on sale.

Despite capturing a playoff berth, the Blue Jays’ final six games are still very important as they look to capture the AL East Division title. They currently hold a two-game lead over the New York Yankees, who also have six games remaining in the season.

With a 90-66 record, the Blue Jays have the best record in the AL. The Seattle Mariners lead the AL West with an 87-69 record, while the Detroit Tigers lead the AL Central at 85-71.

Should the Blue Jays capture the division, they will have their first bye since 2015. It would also mark their first time playing in the AL Division Series since 2016.

The Jays’ next series will begin on Tuesday in a three-game matchup against the Boston Red Sox, followed by a three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday to conclude the regular season.
