The San Francisco Giants welcome the St. Louis Cardinals to Oracle Park tonight to begin a three-game series.

Taking the mound for the Giants will be right-hander Justin Verlander, who enters tonight’s game with a 3.75 ERA, 3.71 FIP, with 127 strikeouts to 49 walks in 141.2 innings pitched. His last start was in the Giants’ 5-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday, in which he allowed just three hits and two walks with three strikeouts in seven innings.

He’ll be facing off against Cardinals right-hander Michael McGreevy, who enters tonight’s game with a 4.08 ERA, 3.75 FIP, with 53 strikeouts to 15 walks in 86 innings pitched. His last start was in the Cardinals’ 3-0 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday, in which he allowed just three hits and three walks with six strikeouts in seven innings.
