In the final week of the minor league season, the Astros had a couple prospects perform well. Here there are below:

Matthews also finished on a nice hot streak. He played in six games for Sugar Land this week and hit .316 with a double, a home run, 6 runs batted in and 5 stolen bases. He posted a .830 OPS with 17 home runs and 41 stolen bases in 112 Triple-A games in 2025. We will see how things shake out in 2026, but Matthews could find himself in a position to take a full time spot.

Pecko finished the season on a nice hot streak. This week he pitched in one start and went 5 innings allowing 3 unearned runs while striking out 7 with no walks. In 35 innings in Triple-A, Pecko posted a 3.09 ERA with 48 strikeouts. Pecko figures to be in a position for a big league callup next year and could follow in the footsteps of Hunter Brown and Spencer Arrighetti.
