Texas A&M adds another 2027 commit who will bring a ton of athleticism to the team. Outfielder Easton Brunson, out of Houston, TX, announced via social media that he will start his college career in Bryan-College Station.

This is another recent commit who can play multiple positions and even has some juice on the mound. But according to Dustin McComas of Five Tool, Brunson is projected to land in the outfield, where he can excel. He is also a powerful left-handed hitter who can hit the ball anywhere on the field. He participated in the Prep Baseball Texas Future Games along with fellow Aggie commit Hector Cadena and finished just a few spots below Cadena in exit velo at 103.6.

Brunson will only get better and put up some respectable numbers for his first season on varsity. He had a slash line of .333/.489/.609 with 23 hits, 18 RBI, and four home runs. He is no slouch on the bump either, tossing 40.1 innings with a 2.90 ERA, 50 strikeouts, and a 1.314 WHIP. Those numbers led to him being named the 23-6A Newcomer of the Year and an All-District first-team selection.

Brunson’s commitment is vital to strengthening the future athleticism of rosters. Given the loss of Jace LaViolette to the draft and Caden Sorrell being a 2026 draft prospect, Brunson’s commitment will ensure depth and success for Texas A&M’s baseball program.
