The Nationals are facing a red hot Braves team in an early game. That does not feel like a recipe for success. However, you never know with these Nats. As we saw in New York, they can be an unpredictable team and show up when you least expect it.
The Nats are making a few tweaks to the lineup. After playing first base last night, Luis Garcia Jr. is back at his natural second base position. That means Josh Bell will be back at first base. Daylen Lile will play left field as James Wood DH’s. Jorge Alfaro and Paul DeJong will be in the lineup this afternoon. Jacob Young and Nasim Nunez are out of the lineup. Andrew Alvarez will make the start for the Nats.
The Braves are rolling with a familiar lineup. Only one change will be made and that will be at second base. The slick fielder, Nick Allen, who had been the Braves shortstop for most of the season, is playing second base. Otherwise things are unchanged. Bryce Elder is on the mound for the Braves.
TV: MASN and MLB Network (out of market)

The Braves have been dominating the Nats lately. This afternoon is the Nats last chance to strike back. They will look to snap the Braves 10 game winning streak. It is also the final road game of the season. Follow along and let’s go Nats!
