The Orioles continue to announce renovation plans for Oriole Park at Camden Yards as part of its multi-year project to modernize the South Baltimore stadium. The latest announcement is for a new bar and social patio called Scoreboard Social under the new videoboard and a renovated club level.
Scoreboard Social, the new videoboard, and the club level renovations are all slated to be completed for the 2026 season.
About Scoreboard Social:
Located in center field just below the new videoboard, Scoreboard Social is a brand-new space coming to Camden Yards in 2026.This unique, covered patio space has a stunning view of center field, flat screen high-definition TVs, and is a perfect place for groups to gather before and during the game while enjoying a ballpark fare menu and private bar. Scoreboard Social will be available for private groups of up to 300 guests looking for a one-of-a-kind outing at the park. When not booked for private events, Scoreboard Social will be open to all fans and feature beer, wine, spirits, and a fun atmosphere!
The new videoboard will be two and a half times larger than the existing videoboard, making it the 12th largest videoboard among Major League Baseball stadiums. The team is also adding 1,225 ft. of new ribbon boards lining the bottom of the club level.
The club level will get new two new bars, “elevated decor,” new furniture, and updated lighting.
This offseason, the team is also converting the current press box into a new premium club. The new premium club will have a capacity of 380. It will have an “immersive indoor-outdoor experience” that “will feature the best views in Oriole Park and include VIP parking, a private entrance, and a rotating upscale menu and beverage program.”
A new “Jim Henneman Press Box” will be constructed adjacent to the third base side of the current press box, replacing some lower deck seating. The team said the new press box will have unobstructed views, unlike the columns in the current press box.
This past offseason the Orioles installed a new left field wall that created a larger Bird Bath section as well as the new Home Run Porch. The new left field wall is shorter and closer to home plate than the previous wall.
The new wall, videoboards, social patio, club level renovations, and premium club come as the Orioles will soon embark on a much larger renovation of Oriole Park at Camden Yards with the ability to spend up to $600 million in taxpayer-financed bonds. No timeline has been set yet to begin more extensive renovations, however more permanent changes are likely coming to left field. One idea proposed in a fan survey was a “Field Level Lounge” beyond the outfield fence.
Other ideas floated in the survey include a larger “Family Zone,” an in-stadium museum, a “Crab Shack,” a “Membership Club” for dining, and a social patio in the upper deck called “The Nest.”
