Kansas City Athletics Satchel Paige becomes oldest player in MLB

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – September 25, 1965.

Satchel Paige, at age 59, became the oldest player in MLB history.

He was hired for just one game. He pitched three innings for the Kansas City Athletics in a game against the Boston Red Sox.

Page struck out 7 and allowed only 1 hit.
