After opening up the set on Friday night, the Detroit Tigers get set to face the Toronto Blue Jays in the second game of their weekend series on Saturday.
The Tigers started off the series with a strong effort, though it almost withered away in the ninth inning. Their bats came out swinging, with Riley Greene, Zach McKinstry and Javier Baez hitting home runs, building a 4-0 lead. However, the Blue Jays slowly started to claw their way back into the game, threatening to tie the game.

However, despite having two runners on the bottom of the ninth, Toronto was unable to complete the comeback, as Beau Brieske was able to shut the door, picking up the save, giving Detroit a 5-4 win, extending the team’s win streak to five.
Greene, Kerry Carpenter and Gleyber Torres each had two hits in the win.
