Re “San Diego approves $25 minimum wage for most tourism workers” (Sept. 16): For several years after retirement, I worked for the Padres ballclub as an usher on game days. Required to arrive early and leave late, this particular group of employees did not have provided parking. While I’m sure they will appreciate the mandated raise, it’ll be negated by the coming $10 an hour parking fees ($40-$50 per game). For many, public transportation is not an option.
Go, Padres!
