With the 2025 MLB Postseason on the horizon, Sony turned the clock back with the Postseason Past Program in MLB The Show 25 on September 26. It included four new 99 OVR cards, three of which were Postseason cards released in past titles. The marquee reward is a 99 OVR Roy Halladay, one that highlighted his postseason no-hitter against the Reds in 2010.

It should be noted that Hampson, Taylor, and Rosario are not Postseason Series cards. Rather, all three are The Show Classics items.
How to make progress
These are the tasks for this program:
Complete 15 Moments (75 pts. – 5 pts. each)
Program PXP Missions:
Tally 350 PXP with 99 OVR Hampson (10 pts. each)
Tally 350 PXP with 99 OVR Rosario (10 pts. each)
Tally 350 PXP with 99 OVR Taylor (10 pts. each)
OPTIONAL PXP Missions:
Tally 500 PXP with any Freddie Freeman, Bob Gibson, Jose Bautista, Garrett Hampson, Randy Johnson, David Ortiz, Bill Mazeroski, Chris Taylor, Tom Glavine, George Springer, Ozzie Smith, Eddie Rosario, Jorge Soler, Corey Seager, Roy Halladay cards (75 pts. – 5 pts. each)
For this program, there are multiple ways to do this. One is to do most or all of the Moments, then unlock the three cards before Halladay. Combining the optional PXP Missions with the other program ones, you can get 45 points just through those three. Thus, only 11 of the 17 Moments have to be completed.
Or, use a collection of the players from playoff history to get the optional Missions done. Ozzie Smith and Bill Mazeroski cards are in the Moonshot 2.0 Program/Collection. There are also 99 OVR cards of David Ortiz, Tom Glavine, George Springer, and Jorge Soler available on the marketplace.
Randy Johnson and Bob Gibson’s 99 OVR cards are Weekend Classic rewards.
This is part of what will be a month-long dump of Postseason-related content. On September 29, Sony will release playoff predictions packs. SDS also stated that throughout October, new programs will be released, and a 2025 Postseason Collection will include the ALCS, NLCS, and World Series MVP awards.
