The 6th ranked Pepin-Alma Eagles hosted the 5th ranked Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates in a battle of unbeatens.
Both teams were tied at the top of the Dairyland Conference with the winner looking to jump to the top.
Early in the game, The Eagles would march down the field giving the ball to Justin Bergmann time after time. Eventually, Bergmann would score on a 1-yard touchdown rush to put Pepin-Alma up 6-0.
Later in the half, the Pirates would answer as Aiden Lisowski would score on a goaline rush to give Cochrane-Fountain City a 7-6 lead.
The score would stay that way at the half.
In the second half, Pepin-Alma would take a 14-7 lead after a Bergmann touchdown.
The Eagles had the chance to score again, but were stuffed on four straight plays.
The Pirates would take over with just under 3-minutes to play. With time running short, Parker Kujak would scramble on a 50-yard touchdown run. The Pirates would convert the 2-point conversion to take a 15-14 lead with under 30 seconds to play.
Pirates would hold on to win 15-14.
Cochrane-Fountain City improves to 6-0 on the season while Pepin-Alma suffered their first loss.
