The Cleveland Guardians and Detroit Tigers will battle in the first round of the 2025 American League playoffs.
The Tigers fell to the Red Sox on the final day of the season, giving the Guardians the AL Central crown, and homefield in this Wild Card series.
Game 1 is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 30, with Game 2 and a potential Game 3 taking place each of the next two days.

If the Guardians reach the American League Divisional Series out of the Wild Card round, they’ll enter as the lower seed. That would mean they host Game 3 and a hypothetical Game 4 as long as the series didn’t end in a sweep.
