It's a boy! Astros outfielder takes a swing at gender reveal for fans

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Hector Ozoa and Claudia Villarreal are Astros for life. The Dickinson couple discovered they were having a boy, thanks to Astros outfielder Taylor Trammell.

“We are so excited. We have been trying for a year for this pregnancy, and now is the time for us to celebrate,” Villarreal shared.

Ozoa proclaimed to ABC13 that he is a big baseball fan. For their firstborn, he took a baseball bat to reveal they were having a girl.

This time around, the couple wanted to include the Astros.

So, at the end of the Astros’ sweep of the Texas Rangers at Daikin Park two weeks ago, the couple caught Trammell’s attention with a sign that read, “Take a swing at our gender reveal.”

Video shows the couple counting down and Trammell taking a swing, revealing the couple’s second child is going to be a boy.

Ozoa and Villarreal said their future family of four will be there on Astros Opening Day in 2026.
