Despite having a payroll that’s more than $340 million, the team fell apart, and fans couldn’t be more upset. Pete Alonso added to the misery after the exit, saying that he will opt out of his contract.
Steve Cohen brought in Juan Soto with a record-breaking deal, and Mets fans couldn’t help but troll the New York Yankees. Likewise, Yankees fans trolled Mets fans, and it went back and forth. During the Yankees’ slump, New York Mets fans continued to troll the Bronx Bombers, and Michael Kay remembers every part of it.
After their exit, Kay roasted the entire Mets fanbase for their previous comments. The YES Network Broadcaster held nothing back as he went on a non-stop rant to blast fans.
“This team systematically rips your heart out. Those are the people I genuinely feel for. I really feel for them. The people that I don’t feel for, the people that made me think, you know who you are. You’re the creeps that couldn’t let good enough be,” Michael Kay said.
The broadcaster stopped at nothing as he continued to target some New York Mets fans. Kay also mentioned that he sympathizes with the genuine Mets fans, but he continued to blast the so-called vicious fans.

Kay is known for his support for the Yankees. However, it was pretty shocking to hear the broadcaster go to such an extent in his viral video.
“We’re the big brother now,” Kay continued to target New York Mets fans. “How dumb do you feel? How chagrin are you? Are you embarrassed? Because this was going to be the dawning of a new era. Every Met fan out there, I feel for you, and I don’t rejoice in your pain at all, but it’s that vicious, angry, substandard Mets fans that weren’t hugged by their parents, who didn’t have any love in their family, and they just love the past long hate. Derisive, nasty, those I don’t feel sorry for.”
New York Mets fans were certainly upset as many voiced their frustration over Michael Kay’s recent viral video. The comments section was filled with hate comments directed at the broadcaster.
