AMHERST — There are a number of Berkshire County connections in the Amherst College baseball office.
First, head coach J.P. Pyne and his assistants work in the Dan Duquette Baseball Office, named for the Dalton native and former Red Sox general manager who played at Amherst. And now, one of the assistant coaches’ desks in the office belongs — again — to a former Pittsfield baseball standout.
