(WLUK) — What time will the Milwaukee Brewers start their 2025 postseason?
It depends on who wins the Boston Red Sox-New York Yankees wild card series.
Major League Baseball on Wednesday announced possible start times for the division series.
If the Yankees win, the Brewers will play at 1:08 p.m. on Saturday.
If the Red Sox win, the Brewers will play at 8:08 p.m. on Saturday.
Boston currently leads the best-of-three series 1-0. Game 2 is Wednesday evening. Game 3, if necessary, would be on Thursday.
The Brewers have a bye in the wild card round. They host the first two games, and a potential fifth game, of the best-of-five division series. They play the winner of the San Diego Padres-Chicago Cubs wild card series. The Cubs currently lead that series 1-0, with game 2 on Wednesday afternoon and game 3, if necessary on Thursday afternoon.
The Boston-New York outcome also affects which game will be shown on FOX 11 on Saturday at 3:08 p.m. If the Yankees win, they will play the Toronto Blue Jays in that time slot. If the Red Sox win, it will be the Detroit Tigers or Cleveland Guardians against the Seattle Mariners on FOX 11 Saturday.
The baseball game on FOX 11 follows the Wisconsin Badgers-Michigan Wolverines football game, which kicks off at 11 a.m.
At night, it’s back to college football on FOX 11. Colorado and TCU kick off at 6:30 p.m. FOX 11 News at Nine follows the game.
The Brewers’ division series games, as well as the National League Championship Series, are telecast on TBS and truTV and streamed on HBO Max.
